Update (24 March):

A man, age 41 of West Bay, was arrested on Saturday afternoon, 21 March, and subsequently charged with Wounding with Intent, and Unlawful Wounding, in relation to the below incident.

He appeared in court yesterday afternoon, 23 March, and was remanded into custody until 3 April.

Initial Release (21 March):

At about 12:20AM today, 21 March, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a serious assault on Bonaventure Road, in West Bay. It was reported that two men were involved in an altercation which resulted in one of the men wounding the other with a machete. The victim was transported to hospital via private vehicle to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the location.

The matter is currently under police investigation.
