Wounding on Owen Roberts Drive, 3 July

A male youth of George Town, age 17, has been charged with Wounding in relation to the assault on Owen Roberts Drive on 3 July.  He will be in court tomorrow, 21 August.

Shortly after 5:10PM yesterday, 3 July, officers responded to a report of an assault near Cayman Airways Headquarters on Owen Roberts Drive. It was reported that a juvenile male was involved in an altercation with two other males known to him and was stabbed in the leg. The other males then fled the scene. Police and emergency services arrived and attended to the victim, who was then transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital.

The matter is currently under police investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information is asked to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.  Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via our Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or via our website.
