UPDATE: As of 8:30PM NW Point Road is completely blocked.  The pole fell across the road between Jennifer Close and Watercourse Road.  It is estimated that it will be another three hours before it is cleared.

Today just before 6:30 p.m. a single-vehicle collided with a light pole causing the line to come down. The incident took place on North West Point Road, in the vicinity of the Watercourse Road junction. 
The roadway was partially locked off for the safety of motorists as the lines were live. 
A female passenger was injured during the Collision. She received what appears to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.
