Traffic Advisory for PACCE Walk/Run/Ride Event, 22 September

The Lions Club of Grand Cayman will be hosting its PACCE Walk/Run/Ride event on Sunday, 22 September at 6:00AM. The event will begin and end at the Jasmine Villa on West Bay Road and is expected to be completed by 9:00AM. Motorists are advised to exercise caution if travelling in these areas on Sunday morning.

Update: Three Vehicle Collision with Injury in Bodden Town, 15 September

Just after 8:30PM on Saturday, 14 September, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Center to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles. The incident took place on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Brightview Drive, Bodden Town.

Unmarked Police Vehicle Involved in Traffic Collision, 12 September

At about 9:30AM today, 12 September, an unmarked police vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Bodden Road in George Town. No one was injured in the collision and the matter is under investigation.

Road Closure for Laying in State of John McLean, MLA, 9 September

6th September, 2019

On Monday, 9 September, Fort Street will be closed between Harbour Drive and the junction with Edward Street (Town Clock) in order to facilitate the Laying in State of the late John McLean, MLA. The closure will take place from 7:45AM to 8:30AM and again from 3:15PM to 4:00PM.

Following a serious collision on 1 September, in the vicinity of Doubloon Drive, Bodden Town, one man has passed away as a result of his injuries. A second man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

On Saturday, 31 August, Cardinall Avenue will be closed between Edward Street and Albert Panton Street, from 10:00AM to 9:00PM, to facilitate the Penha Privilege Launch Party. Traffic entering Cardinall Avenue from Harbour Drive will be diverted left onto Albert Panton Street during this time.

Update: Bodden Town Man Charged for Assault Following Traffic Incident, 16 August

The man, age 20 of Bodden Town, who was arrested following an incident near the Bodden Town Police Station on Wednesday, 14 August, has now been formally charged with Assault ABH and Assaulting a Police Officer. He appears in court today, 16 August.
