Update: Man Involved in Mangrove Avenue Collision now Deceased, 30 March

30th March, 2022

Shortly after 3:00AM this morning, Thursday 24 March, emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision on Mangrove Avenue, Prospect. A single male occupant has sustained serious injuries and has been transported to George Town Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

Collision Involving a Heavy Equipment Vehicle at Grand Harbour Roundabout, 17 December

17th December, 2021

Police are currently on scene at the Grand Harbour roundabout in George Town where it was reported that a heavy equipment vehicle that was being towed, heading in the direction of Bodden Town, fell off its towing vehicle and overturned off the roadway. No one was injured during the incident.

UPDATE: Police Identify Deceased in South Church Street Fatal Collision, 18 October

Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday evening, 16 October, on South Church Street, George Town. He is 37-year-old Carlos Luyang Patricio of the Philippines, who resided in Cayman.

RCIPS Reminds Motorists to Avoid Mobile Phone Usage and Illegal Tint, 8 October

8th October, 2021

Since 11 August, officers have been targeting motorists using mobile phones while driving, and in the month of September issued over 150 tickets for this offense. Officers will also be targeting illegal tint during October and anyone found to be in contravention of the law will be ticketed.
