Three men appeared before the court this week, after being arrested over this past weekend, in relation to burglary incidents that took place this month, August, 2022.

Last Sunday, 28 August, the Cayman Islands Coast Guard reported seeing an increase in number of water related incidents.

Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal vehicle collision which occurred on Sunday, 28 August at the Parkers Raceway in Bodden Town. He is 29-year-old Kashwayne Rohan Andre Mckenzie, of Bodden Town.

The RCIPS continues to remind drivers of the importance of engaging in safe driving practices and avoiding behaviours such as driving while under the influence of alcohol.

A man has been charged with two counts of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, two counts of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition), and Possession of a Controlled Drug (Ganja), following a search at a residence on Kingfisher Street in Bodden Town.

Brianna Ebanks, age 14, who was reported missing on Friday, 19 August, has been located and returned to her place of residence, and appears to be in good health.

Police are currently investigating a number of reports where persons attempted to use forged $100 bank notes. Since June 2022, five such reports have been received, with one incident taking place in Cayman Brac and the other four in Grand Cayman.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, 16 August, officers conducted a search of an address in the North Sound Estates area of Bodden Town and recovered several packages of suspected cocaine, along with suspected ganja, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of cash. Two men were arrested, one has since been charged.

A 45-year-old-man of George Town has been formally charged with Burglary following his arrest for the offense on Monday 16 August.

Police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a two-vehicle collision that took place along the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, West Bay.
