Police Arrest Three Men Following Reports of Shots Fired, 30 May

At about 12:30AM on Sunday, 28 May, and again at about 8:20AM on Monday, 29 May, police received reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Bankers Road in West Bay, and a suspicious vehicle was also reported to have been seen in the area in both incidents.

Yesterday, 24 May, wanted man Kadeem Hurlston was arrested by police. He was subsequently formally charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition) and Inflicting GBH, in relation to an incident on 29 May, 2022.

RCIPS Auxiliary Constable Darren McLean has officially completed his secondment at National Helicopter Services Ltd (NHSL) in Trinidad & Tobago and is now qualified as a single-pilot captain, a major milestone in his progress to become the first Caymanian helicopter pilot in the RCIPS Air Operations Unit (AOU).

UPDATE: Stolen Honda BRV LX Recovered, 22 May

Police are advising that the white Honda BR-V, registration #214 047, which was reported stolen on Saturday morning, 20 May, has been located. The vehicle was abandoned on the roadway on Elgin Avenue, near the Central Police Station, shortly after 4:00AM today, 22 May. The driver appears to have fled from the vehicle on foot.

Shortly before 2:20PM yesterday, 18 May, officers in Cayman Brac responded to a report of damage to property and theft at Panama Canal, Creek. The antenna, solar panel, and two marine batteries, of a tide gauge at the location had been stolen, and the device damaged.
