Just after 11:15AM today, 31 August, the Firearm Response Unit was travelling along West bay Road in the vicinity of Marsh Road, West Bay, when they received an emergency call to attend a report at an establishment located at Governor’s Square.

Police can now confirm the identity of the victim in the fatal stabbing which occurred at the Strand on Canal Point Road, on Saturday morning, 29 August. He is Recordo Lionel Pars, age 27 of George Town. Detectives are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Just before 5:45AM today, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a vehicle collision involving two cars and one scooter.
Shortly after 1AM Monday morning, 24 August, officers responded to a report of an altercation at a bar on Seymour Road, George Town. A female and male received stab wounds. The male was discharged and the female remains in hospital being treated for life-threatening injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
The Police Clearance Certificate Application on eservices.gov.ky is temporarily down for maintenance at this time. The service is expected to be back up and running within the next two days.
The driver of the black pickup truck failed to stop following the collision and made off before the arrival of the police. The matter has been under investigation, however, police have been unable to locate the vehicle or identify the driver who caused the collision. A picture of the pickup truck is attached.
Yesterday, 20 August, police had cause to execute searches at two addresses in the District of West Bay, one of the searches resulted in the recovery of drugs and other contraband which lead to one arrest being made.
Just after 8AM today, 20 August, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to an address off Old Crewe Road in George Town , where it was reported that a 3-year-old child had been found in a swimming pool at the location and was unresponsive.
Earlier today, 20 August, officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Sea View Road, East End, in the High Rock area.
This Saturday, 15 August, the RCIPS Community Policing Unit began a series of fundraising efforts for Primary Schools across the Cayman Islands, starting with George Town Primary School.
