Two men were charged with burglary and appeared in court this morning, 31 January, in relation to separate incidents.
Shortly before 8:00AM, Monday 29 January, police attended the George Town Hospital to a report of a man receiving treatment for a serious burn to his face, which had been inflicted on him by another man.
On Sunday, 28 January, officers arrested a man, age 27 of George Town, on suspicion of burglary in relation to an incident which had been reported earlier that day at a store on Hospital Road. The man is also believed to be connected to a number of other recent commercial burglaries in the George Town area.

At about 8:30AM, today, 26 January, officers were dispatched to a report that a man had been found unresponsive on a cruise ship, anchored off the George Town port.
Shortly after 2:00AM, Friday 26 January, police responded to a call to service at the George Town Hospital, where a man, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his stomach, had been brought via private vehicle.
Police have received a number of reports from persons who have received a telephone call from an overseas phone number where the caller has attempted to gain banking details or persuade the customer to transfer monies from their account.
