Police have arrested and charged three men in relation to an armed robbery which occurred at a service station on Dorcy Drive on Tuesday, 29 March.
A man, age 41 of Bodden Town, has been formally charged with Burglary, in relation to an incident reported on 28 September where a residence on Bodden Town Road was broken into, and power tools were taken. Police responded and conducted enquiries which led to the man being arrested later that day.
This evening, 30 September, the NRA was able to conduct repairs on the control unit for the traffic lights at the Bobby Thompson Way and Smith Road junction. As such, the lights are now currently operational, however, it is possible that the repair will only function temporarily.
At about 7:45PM yesterday, 28 September, officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery which had taken place outside a restaurant on North Church Street.
The public is being advised that the Bodden Town Police Station has now re-opened and our phone lines are functional and remain the same: 947-2220.
Due to flooding and debris on the roadway in the vicinity of the Red Bay Dock (dock located on South Sound), South Sound Road, between Crewe Road and the Red Bay Dock will be closed to the public at this time. A man, age 51 of West Bay, who was arrested on 1 July following a search where a bullet-proof vest was recovered, has now been formally charged with Possession of a Bullet-Proof Vest. He is appearing in court on Monday, 26 September.
