Man Charged for Bodden Town Burglary, 30 September

A man, age 41 of Bodden Town, has been formally charged with Burglary, in relation to an incident reported on 28 September where a residence on Bodden Town Road was broken into, and power tools were taken. Police responded and conducted enquiries which led to the man being arrested later that day.

Traffic Lights at Bobby Thompson Way/Smith Road Operational, 30 September

This evening, 30 September, the NRA was able to conduct repairs on the control unit for the traffic lights at the Bobby Thompson Way and Smith Road junction. As such, the lights are now currently operational, however, it is possible that the repair will only function temporarily.

Public Advisory: South Sound Road now Re-Opened, 26 September

Due to flooding and debris on the roadway in the vicinity of the Red Bay Dock (dock located on South Sound), South Sound Road, between Crewe Road and the Red Bay Dock will be closed to the public at this time. The RCIPS is encouraging everyone to avoid traversing the roadways until an all clear has been given.

Public Advisory: RCIPS Informs the Public of Road Closures Along Seafarer’s Way, 26 September

Due to wave activity and debris on the roadway, Seafarers Way, between Goring Avenue and Elmslie Memorial Church has been closed, with vehicles being diverted through Goring Avenue at this time. The roadway is also closed between Mary Street and Lobster Pot on North Church Street.

A man, age 51 of West Bay, who was arrested on 1 July following a search where a bullet-proof vest was recovered, has now been formally charged with Possession of a Bullet-Proof Vest. He is appearing in court on Monday, 26 September.
