A 27-year-old-man of George Town, has been extradited from the United Kingdom (UK) to the Cayman Islands in order to be charged and attend court regarding a fatal collision that took place on 2 September, 2019, in Bodden Town, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Giovani Berry.

Update: Man Arrested on Suspicion of Rape, 20 August

Just after 4AM on Wednesday 11 August, police were dispatched to Oak Mill Street in George Town where a woman informed them that she had been sexually assaulted. A man, age 34 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of rape on Thursday, 19 August, in relation to the incident.

Police aerial assessment shows extent of Tropical Storm Grace destruction, 20 August

On Wednesday afternoon, 18 August, Police helicopter X-Ray One carried out an aerial assessment to identify any persons who may have been in distress and assess damage caused by Tropical Storm Grace.  A number of images were captured that demonstrate the high seas, destruction of vegetation, and flooding caused across Cayman.
