Woman Charged for West Bay Road Burglaries, 28 March

28th March, 2024

A woman, age 35 of Bodden Town, has been arrested and formally charged with two counts of burglary in relation to incidents in the West Bay Road area, on 14 February and 12 March, where condos were broken into and items taken. The woman is also a suspect in other ongoing investigations into similar incidents in the area.

UPDATE: Police Confirm Identity of Victim in Bodden Town Fatal Collision, 22 March

Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal collision which took place on Thursday morning, 21 March, in Bodden Town. He is Teron Anthony Johnson, age 22. A Jamaican national residing in Grand Cayman. The RCIPS once again expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Yesterday, a 24 year-old-man, from George Town, was charged with 18 counts of grooming and indecent assault against three juveniles, including rape, sexual communication with a child, meeting a child following sexual communication and indecent images of a child.

Just before 4PM yesterday, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a restaurant and bar located on Eastern Avenue, where it was reported that a man and a woman had an altercation involving a weapon at the location, and this resulted in the man being seriously injured with a knife.
