A woman, age 35 of Bodden Town, has been arrested and formally charged with two counts of burglary in relation to incidents in the West Bay Road area, on 14 February and 12 March, where condos were broken into and items taken. The woman is also a suspect in other ongoing investigations into similar incidents in the area.
Yesterday, Tuesday 26 March, shortly after 3:00PM, police and emergency services responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Linford Pierson Highway.
Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal collision which took place on Thursday morning, 21 March, in Bodden Town. He is Teron Anthony Johnson, age 22. Yesterday, a 24 year-old-man, from George Town, was charged with 18 counts of grooming and indecent assault against three juveniles, including rape, sexual communication with a child, meeting a child following sexual communication and indecent images of a child.
Just before 4PM yesterday, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a restaurant and bar located on Eastern Avenue, where it was reported that a man and a woman had an altercation involving a weapon at the location, and this resulted in the man being seriously injured with a knife.
At about 10:00PM yesterday, 11 March, while on patrol, a team of officers from the Cayman Islands Coast Guard intercepted a grey and blue coloured vessel with two persons onboard, engaging in what appeared to be criminal activity.
