At about 9:00PM yesterday, 26 November, officers located and arrested wanted man, 32-year-old Travis Webb, for escaping lawful custody. At this time he remains in police custody.
Police investigate serious collision where a motorcyclist collided with another vehicle on the roadway and sustained life-threatening-injuries as a result.
At about 3:45AM on Thursday, 21 November, officers stopped and searched a vehicle travelling along Grescott Lane. A quantity of cash and drugs were found and the occupants arrested. One of the occupants has since been formally charged in relation to an burglary which took place on 14 November.
On the morning of Thursday, 14 November, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a business on Portland Road in George Town.
At about 11:40AM today, 10 November, officers responded to a report of a person in distress on the shore off West Bay Road, south of Canal Point Drive. A man had experienced difficulties while snorkeling. He was subsequently pronounced dead after being transported to hospital.
A scam text message continues to circulate locally, claiming that customers of a local bank have had their account put on hold, and advising them to click on a link in the message to rectify this. Members of the public are being reminded that this is not a legitimate alert, and that the web address included is fraudulent.
At about 3:45PM yesterday, 8 November, officers responded to a report of a robbery which had taken place on Jasmine Lane in George Town.
Just after 7:20PM on Friday, 8 November, officers responded to a report of a serious collision on Sea View Road in East End, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle, a Suzuki Swift, and later passed away.
