Public Advisory: COVID-19 Regulations Reminder on Public Gatherings, 29 December

No more than 500 people may attend public gatherings, including hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, bars, special events and other related businesses and events. Organisers and proprietors are encouraged to use a counting device to ensure they remain within the confines of the regulations.

Just after 8:30PM yesterday, Saturday 26 December, a 20-year-old-man of George Town surrendered to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre in relation to the fatal stabbing incident that took place on Thursday 24 December.

Police Investigate Robbery Incident in George Town, 28 December

Just before 2AM this morning, Monday 28 December, an injured man walked into the George Town Police Station and reported that he was assaulted and robbed by multiple persons, when he was walking in the area of Shedden Road in George Town. He reported that his cellphone and wallet was taken, along with all its contents.

Shortly after 12:00AM today, 19 December, officers responded to a report of an altercation involving several men at a bar on Martin Drive in George Town.. A male received injuries to his head, arm and back, and was transported by ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment

Firearms Incident in George Town, 19 December

19th December, 2020

At about 2:10AM today, 19 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of a bar on Seymour Road, George Town. Officers attended the location and recovered a number of spent shell casings in the vicinity. No persons appear to have been injured in the incident.

Collision Involving Pedestrian on West Bay Road, 17 December

Shortly after 6:00PM yesterday, 16 December, officers responded to a report of a collision involving a white Toyota HiAce and a pedestrian on West Bay Road, in the vicinity of Ernest Jackson Drive. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Wounding in West Bay, 16 December

Shortly before 7:00PM on Tuesday, 15 December, officers responded to a report of a wounding at an address on North West Point Road in West Bay. Officers arrested a man, age 36 of West Bay, on suspicion of Wounding in relation to the incident. He remains in custody as investigations continue.

Two Arrested On Suspicion of Drug Offenses, 12 December

12th December, 2020

A man, age 25 of West Bay, and a woman, age 42 of George Town, were both arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja, and possession of cocaine with intent to supply, following a search of a vehicle in West Bay.
