UPDATE: COVID-19 Positive Traveler is Sentenced to Four Months Prison, 24 February

On Monday 21 February, Stephany Clarke, a 29 year old woman from Jamaica, was sentenced to four months imprisonment for failing to comply with Cayman Islands Public Health Regulations, when she flew into Grand Cayman on 9 September with a positive PCR test.

UPDATE: Motorist Succumbed to Injuries in Shamrock Road Collision, 19 February

Yesterday, Friday 18 February, at approximately 3:30PM, officers were informed that Seamard Green, a 43 year old male from Bodden Town, who was involved in the collision that took place on 16 February, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning and was pronounced dead at 10:15AM by the attending doctor at the hospital.

Police Recover Large Quantity of Cocaine Following Search, 11 February

On Wednesday, 9 February, at about 9:30AM, officers from various units in the RCIPS conducted a search of an address in George Town, under the Misuse of Drugs Law. During the search, officers recovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash.

The man, age 26 of George Town, who was arrested on Monday, 3 January, in relation to an attack on a female jogger on South Sound Road which took place earlier the same morning, was formally charged yesterday with Assault ABH in relation to the incident.
