For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. Shortly before 1:00AM on Monday, 30 December, officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Queens Highway in East End. Thr sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. He remains in critical but stable condition.
The RCIPS is reminding the public that intensified holiday road enforcement operations continue through today, New Year’s Eve, and into New Year’s Day. Police will be conducting numerous traffic checks in addition to intensified vehicle and foot patrols across the island.
Mothesha Mothen, age 16 of Bodden Town, has been located and is in good health. The RCIPS thanks the public for their assistance in locating her.
Shortly after 1:00AM today, 30 December, officers responded to a report of a serious single-vehicle collision on the East West Arterial, at the intersection with Doubletree Lane. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man age 26 of Bodden Town, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead.
The RCIPS is happy to report that over the Christmas period, from Christmas Eve through Boxing Day, there were no major incidents reported. We would like to thank the public for doing their part in following our laws, and helping to keep Cayman safe and peaceful.
Jared Johnson, age 15 of Bodden Town, who absconded on Saturday 14 December, has been located and is in good health. The RCIPS thanks the public for their assistance in locating him.
The RCIPS Holiday Safety Campaign is ongoing this week, as the intensified road enforcement operations which began at the beginning of the month continue. CPD officers have also been conducting evening foot patrols this week in main commercial areas around the island to increase visibility and reassurance to the public.

On Thursday night, 19 December, officers responded to a report of a robbery at an address off Spruce Lane in George Town where two men were robbed by a man who had brandished a handgun. No shots were fired and neither of the victims were injured. The matter is currently under investigation.
On Thursday night, 19 December, officers responded to a report of a serious assault at an address off Captains Joe and Osbert Road in West Bay where a man struck another several times in the face during an altercation, causing a fractured jaw.
