A man, age 29 of West Bay, has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm. The arrest is in relation to the shooting which took place on Martin Drive on 1 July. He remains in custody as investigations continue.

Tech support scams involve scammers making contact and using scare tactics to trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services to "fix" a non-existent problem with your device or software.
On Sunday 17 October, the RCIPS participated in the funeral service of the late former Inspector of Police Mr. William Hortor Rankine, who passed away on Monday 11 October. Mr. William Hortor Rankine served with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service for 26 years, from 1970 to 1996.
On Friday 22 October, the RCIPS resumed Operation Quaker, with a focus on night time speeding and DUI, in response to a recent increase of serious collisions and fatalities occurring on the roads.

Isabella May Grant, age 16 of Bodden Town, who absconded from home on Monday, 18 October, has been located and appears to be in good health.
