Around 10:10PM last night, 30 July, police officers were dispatched to a liquor store located on McClendon Drive, George Town, where it was reported that a single male entered the store with a machete and stole cash from the cash register at the location.

Accident Involving Wave Runner, 31 July

31st July, 2019

Shortly after 8:30AM this morning, 31 July, officers responded to a report of an incident in the canal off Prospect Drive. A man had been aboard a wave runner when it exploded, injuring him. No fire was caused as a result of the explosion and the man was transported to the hospital and subsequently discharged.

Traffic Accident Following a Wounding on North Sound Road, 29 July

Just before 1:45AM today, 29 July, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report that two men had been engaged in a dispute at Vic’s Bar located off North Sound Road, which led to one of the men being seriously injured.

Over 1000lbs of Ganja Seized From Drifting Vessel by JMU, 26 July

26th July, 2019

On Wednesday, 24 July, the RCIPS was alerted to a vessel adrift some miles off the coast of Grand Cayman. Officers from the Joint Marine Unit supported by the Air Operations Unit were able to locate the vessel, which was found to have over 1000lbs of ganja on board. 2 Jamaican nationals aboard the vessel were arrested.
