On 31st October, several neighbourhoods across the Cayman Islands will be celebrating Halloween and as such the RCIPS would like to remind the public to exercise caution during the times that children will be out an about to trick-or-treat, approximately between 5PM and 9PM.
On the morning of Friday, 1 November, North Church Street will be closed between Lobster Pot and Burger King in order to facilitate an Emergency Training Exercise. The closure will be in effect for a 30 minute period between 9:00AM and 10:00AM, however the exact time within this window is uncertain.
The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association will be hosting the annual Cayman Islands Triathlon on Sunday, 3 November, from 6:00AM to 11:00AM. The event will begin and end at the Seven Mile Public Beach and traffic will be restricted on West Bay Road between Lime Tree Bay Avenue and the SMB roundabout during this time.
Police are currently investigating two stabbing incidents which occurred early on the morning of Saturday, 26 October. Arrests have been made in one of the incidents.
Shortly after 2:30PM on Monday, 21 October, officers responded to a report of a theft that had taken place at a jewelry store on Edward Street where two unarmed men had attempted to make off with several items of jewelry. Two men, ages 24 and 29 of West Bay have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The RCIPS is informing the public that the temporary closure of Anton Bodden Drive to westbound traffic during the morning hours will be resumed from Monday, 28 October.
Goring Avenue will be closed between South Church Street and Louise Llewellyn Way, from 7:00AM until 11:00PM on Saturday, 26 October, in order to facilitate a company event.
Sinai Church Apostolic & Prophetic will be hosting a March for Jesus on Saturday, 26 October, beginning at 5:00PM and ending at 7:30PM. No roads will be closed for this event, however motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling along the route of the March on Saturday evening.
