Road Closure for Emergency Training Exercise, 1 November

On the morning of Friday, 1 November, North Church Street will be closed between Lobster Pot and Burger King in order to facilitate an Emergency Training Exercise. The closure will be in effect for a 30 minute period between 9:00AM and 10:00AM, however the exact time within this window is uncertain.

Radio Cayman will be hosting the Breeze Fusion 5/10K Walk/Run on Saturday, 2 November, beginning at 6:00AM. The event will begin at Smith’s Barcadere and is expected to conclude by 9:30AM.

Traffic Advisory for Cayman Islands Triathlon, 3 November

The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association will be hosting the annual Cayman Islands Triathlon on Sunday, 3 November, from 6:00AM to 11:00AM. The event will begin and end at the Seven Mile Public Beach and traffic will be restricted on West Bay Road between Lime Tree Bay Avenue and the SMB roundabout during this time.

Update: Second Man Arrested for Theft at George Town Jewelry Store, 28 October

28th October, 2019

Shortly after 2:30PM on Monday, 21 October, officers responded to a report of a theft that had taken place at a jewelry store on Edward Street where two unarmed men had attempted to make off with several items of jewelry. Two men, ages 24 and 29 of West Bay have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Sinai Church Apostolic & Prophetic will be hosting a March for Jesus on Saturday, 26 October, beginning at 5:00PM and ending at 7:30PM. No roads will be closed for this event, however motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling along the route of the March on Saturday evening.
