Shortly before 9:30PM last night, 26 June, officers responded to a report at an address in North Side, where a man was stabbed by another man known to him. EMS attended the location and transported the victim to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. A man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
Shortly after 10:00PM on Sunday, 28 June, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Hell Road in West Bay. A grey Daihatsu had been travelling westbound along Hell Road when it left the roadway and collided with a fence in the vicinity of Miss Daisy Lane. The vehicle overturned as a result.
Just after 9:30AM today, Friday, 26 June police and other emergency services were dispatched to Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Agricola Drive, where it was reported that a collision had taken place involving three vehicles.
Shortly before 10:30PM yesterday, 25 June, officers responded to a report of an aggravated burglary at a business premises on Party Lane in George Town. The store was closed at the time. Two males broke in through the front entrance, broke into the cash register and then fled on foot with a quantity of cash.
As of 6 April, the Training and Development Unit began training twelve (12) recruits, who are on their journey to become Police Constables within the RCIPS. The prospective officers were sworn in on 6 April, however due to the COVID-19 situation they were provided with essential basic level training.
Officers, during the course of their burglary investigations, have recovered several items of jewellery that were believed to be stolen, while conducting search warrants. The items, including watches, bracelets, rings and chains, are currently being held in police custody pending further investigations.
