Beginning this weekend, 28-30 May, the RCIPS will be conducting a targeted road safety and enforcement campaign. Operation Quakers, will focus on curbing reckless and dangerous driving behaviours over the weekends when the worst incidents have been occurring.

A 25-year-old-man of Bodden Town was formally charged yesterday 26 May for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Careless Driving, Use of a Unregistered Vehicle, Making a False Report of the Commission of Offense, Escaping Lawful Custody and Assaulting a Police Officer.
At about 7:45AM on Saturday, 22 May, officers responded to a report of an indecent exposure on the beach in the vicinity of Sundowner Close, off West Bay Road. It was reported that a woman had been at the location when a man unknown to her exposed himself to her.
Police can now confirm the identity of the victim in the fatal collision which occurred early Sunday morning, 23 May. She is 32-year-old Kiarah Shikale Perkins, a US National who resided in Grand Cayman.
Just after 8:45PM, yesterday, Monday 24 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a serious assault that took place in the Mount Pleasant area of West Bay.
Earlier this month, police officers were called to a local school following a report that a suspected ganja edible had been recovered from a student during a bag search conducted by staff. The RCIPS is now publishing a photo of the item recovered for the awareness of the public.
The RCIPS is advising the public that the Cayman Brac Police Station is being relocated from 9 Ivory Lane. As of Saturday, 22 May, the station will be located at Units 5 and 6 of the Kirkconnell Building, on Kirkconnell Street, in Stake Bay (across from the District Administration Building) until further notice.
