Road Closure Update: As of 11pm, one lane Old Man Bay Road has re-opened.

Update Around 12:15am this morning, 30 April, the on-site traffic investigation concluded and the road re-opened.

Old Man Bay Road Closed Further to the below, traffic officers inform that Old Man Bay Road near the grocery store is currently closed in both directions as they carry out their investigation at the scene of the crash.

Just before 8pm this evening, Sunday, 29 April, a vehicle with a driver and two passengers crashed into a light pole in the vicinity of Old Man Bay Road in North Side. One person is confirmed deceased and the two other occupants of the vehicle have been taken to the hospital.

Yesterday, 26 April, RCIPS officials joined representatives from HM Customs, the Youth Services Unit, and the Cayman Hot Rod and Motocross Associations, in East End, to survey land that will be the site of a new off-road racing facility.

The RCIPS is informing the public about road closures taking place over the next two weekends in order to facilitate events for Cayman Carnival Batabano.

A juvenile male, age 16 of George Town, was arrested on 20 April, and formally charged with Burglary, in relation to an incident at a business in Grand Harbour, George Town, on the morning of 14 February. He appeared in court on Monday, 23 April.

The man, age 48 of East End, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary for an incident on John McLean drive on Monday, 23 April, has been formally charged with Burglary, Consumption of Cocaine, and Intentional Harassment, Alarm or Distress. He is appearing in court this morning, 26 April.

Yesterday, 24 April, officers received a report of a robbery which had taken place on Sunday, 22 April. A woman reported that she had been walking along South Sound Road at about 11:45PM when she was approached and grabbed by a man who demanded her handbag.
