Further to the below, police can now confirm that 5 persons were injured during the collision that took place on Tuesday 6 August, on Shamrock Road. One of the injured parties was a minor and has since been released from the hospital with non-life-threatening-injuries along with two other adult.
The remaining two adults are currently in stable condition but still remain in the hospital at this time.
The matter is still under police investigation.
Just before 1:50PM today, 6 August, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to Shamrock Road, at the junction of Bueno Vista, where it was reported that a collision had taken place involving 2 vehicles and several persons received injuries.
Police, EMS and Fire officers attended the location and assisted with the incident. Shamrock Road was temporarily closed on both side to facilitate investigation and the clearing of debris from the roadway. East bound traffic was diverted through Spotts Newlands Road and west bound traffic through Hirst Road.
Seven persons were transported to the hospital by EMS and are currently undergoing treatment. Both vehicles involved received extensive damage.
The roadway has now been cleared. The RCIPS thanks the public for their cooperation.
The matter is being investigated by the police.
