Correction (21 February):

The driver of the vehicle in the below incident has not been discharged, as was previously stated, but was transferred from the Cayman Islands Hospital to Health City Cayman Islands for further treatment on Monday, 17 February, where she remains in critical but stable condition. 

Initial Release:

Shortly before 4:00PM yesterday, 17 February, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Bodden Town Road in the Pease Bay area. A silver Honda Accord was travelling eastbound on Bodden Town Road, when it left the roadway and collided with a wall on the roadside.

Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the vehicle was transported to the Cayman Islands hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently discharged.

The incident is under investigation.
