Search & Rescue Operation Off Cemetery Beach Safely Recovers Paddle Boarder, 5 November

At about 12:00PM on Monday, 4 November, police received a report that two women had gone out paddle boarding but one of the women had been unable to make it back to shore. She was subsequently located by the police helicopter and brough to shore safely by the Cayman Islands Coast Guard.

UPDATE: Woman Charged with Multiple Offences including Two Counts of Assault, 16 September

The woman, age 35 of George Town, who was arrested following a series of incidents involving assault and other offences, has been formally charged with two counts of Assault ABH, Carrying an Offensive Weapon, Obstructing Police, Causing Fear of Provocation of Violence, Escaping Lawful Custody, and Threats to Kill.

Two More Firearms & Ammunition Handed in Over Weekend, 30 July

As the RCIPS continues in its efforts to encourage persons to relinquish their unlicensed firearms, two more firearms were handed in this past weekend. A pistol and a rifle along with an amount of ammunition were handed into police via a trusted third party, as part of the 2024 RCIPS Gun Amnesty campaign.

RCIPS Launches National Gun Amnesty for the Month of July, 25 June

The RCIPS is launching a National Gun Amnesty, working with key partners and stakeholders who are taking a stand against illegal guns in our community. The Amnesty will run between 1 and 31 July, 2024, and will allow persons who possess illegal guns, ammunition and any other illegal weapons, to hand them over to the police.
