On Wednesday, 12 February, officers from the West Bay Station, with support from the RCIPS Community Police Unit, continued their disruption patrol strategy in targeted areas of the West Bay community, including Apple Blossom, off Captains Joe and Osbert Road.
In response to community concerns raised with the police, last week, Monday 3 – Monday 10 February, the RCIPS and its partners commenced a Week of Action targeting known areas of criminality in George Town.
On Friday, 31 January, the RCIPS conducted a series of operations in the Eastern Districts, as part of a day of action to address ongoing community concerns. RCIPS officers from the Traffic Management, Firearms Response, Uniform Operations, and Community Policing Units were joined by staff from partner agencies CBC and DoA.

This past weekend, officers received several reports of a group of between two and ten juvenile males, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, approaching members of the public and firing shots at them with what appears to be a pellet gun or gel blaster.
RCIPS reminds the public that the National Gun Amnesty has been extended for a further 10 days and have provided an update on hand ins so far. The public encouraged to hand in illegal guns before the deadline.
