Yesterday, Thursday 6 July, officers located and arrested a 30 year-old man from East End, who is alleged to have been involved in a firearms incident at a bar on Shamrock Road, on 4 June.

Police responded to three robbery related incidents yesterday between 8.45PM – 9.30PM. On Thursday 6 July, shortly after 8:45PM officers responded to a report of an attempt robbery at a restaurant in the Birch Tree Hill area, West Bay.

Yesterday, Tuesday, 4 July, police arrested and charged the second man involved in the armed robbery that occurred on Friday, 16 June, at a bank on Crewe Road.

Between Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July, police carried out a number of operations in relation to the recent spate or robberies, that resulted in the arrest of four men.

This past long weekend, officers responded to three incidents of burglaries at commercial premises. The first burglary occurred at a storage warehouse on Goring Avenue, and was discovered on Saturday, 1 July. The other two burglaries were discovered on the morning of Monday, 3 July.

Shortly after 10:00PM, Friday 30 June, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Homestead Crescent, Savannah, Bodden Town.

Police investigate serious sexual assault incident between inmates at the HMCIPS Northward Prison.

The RCIPS can confirm that a senior politician attended the Cayman Islands Detention Centre this morning, Wednesday 28 June, and was arrested and formally charged with Rape and Indecent Assault, in relation to a criminal complaint of a sexual nature dating back to 2000.

Shortly after 1:00AM today, 26 June, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of a bar on Shedden Road just east of North Sound Road. It was reported that there was an altercation between multiple persons, during which shots were fired.
