The RCIPS have received several complaints of late, reporting that groups of young persons have been using what appear to be gel guns or gel blasters capable of discharging water- filled bead pellets or other similar projectiles.
The man, age 19 of Bodden Town, who was arrested on Thursday, 12 January in relation to an incident where a police officer was assaulted whilst off duty, has now been formally charged with Assault ABH, Assaulting Police, and Theft.

A man, age 25 of West Bay, was arrested on Wednesday, 4 January, on suspicion of wounding in relation to a stabbing incident which took place on Friday, 16 December 2022, at the Marquee Plaza on Lawrence Boulevard. He has now been formally charged with Wounding with Intent and appeared in court earlier today.

Just before 7:40AM yesterday,1 January, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a fight between two men that had taken place at a residence in West Bay, where both men received knife wounds. Both men, one age 24, of West Bay and the other, age 32 of George Town have been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
Officers with the Firearm Response Unit, while carrying out patrols on Friday, 30 December, observed a wanted juvenile male at a residence in Prospect. The male was wanted in connection with robbery incidents that took place on 8 December in Prospect and George Town. He and another man have since been formally charged.
