Following the release of the 2019 Crime and Traffic Statistics report, the RCIPS has released a Summary Interim Crime Report reviewing the impact of COVID-19 on crime in the Cayman Islands.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) today (Friday, 22 May) confirmed that two uniformed officers have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

Police have recovered a number of electrical tools during a search earlier this month that are believed to be stolen properties. Pictures of these items have been provided in this press release and members of the public are invited to view these items and attempt to identify them if you have been victims of theft related crimes.

Extensions to hard and soft curfews were announced at the COVID-19 press conference on Thursday, 16 April 2020.

All beaches, including the coastline, will remain closed from 12.01AM tomorrow to 5:00AM Tuesday, 14 April. There is to be no swimming, snorkeling, fishing, exercising or any activity on the beach or along the coastline during these times. (GIS)

The RCIPS is advising the public that, beginning on Monday, 6 April, the RCIPS Business Centre, located in Windjammer Plaza, will be closed to the public until further notice. The following changes to the application process for all service applications will also be implemented as of Monday, 6 April.
