On Sunday 13 November, around 12.30AM, while conducting ongoing targeted operations, police identified a type of vehicle commonly associated with robberies, and a driver acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the Reflections liquor store on Maclendon Drive.
Since the recent spate of armed robberies, police have been undertaking targeted operations focused on locating and apprehending those involved, and suppressing further robberies.
On Monday 6 November, around 1:15AM, a Firearms Response Unit vehicle, whilst on patrol in West Bay in relation to the multiple firearm-related incidents over the weekend, was involved in an MVA where the police vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle.
Shortly before 1:40AM today, 5 November, officers responded to a report that a man had been shot multiple times while outside a residence on Gorse Lane, in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay. The man was then transported to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, however, he appears to be in sable condition.
On Friday, November 3, officers responded to three reports of attempted armed robberies. In all three incidents no shots were fired, no one was injured, and nothing was taken.
Shortly after 11:00PM yesterday, 3 November, officers on patrol on Andresen Road in West Bay, were approached by two members of the public who appeared to have been injured, and who informed the officers that they had just been the victims of a robbery.
A police K-9 was deployed during the arrest of a man following a domestic incident on Friday, 27 October. The man has since been charged with a number of offenses.
Earlier this afternoon, 18 October, police arrested wanted man, 35-year-old George Orlando Senior following an operation in East End. Senior was wanted for the murder of Divonte Alejandro Hernandez on 29 September in George Town.
Police responded to three separate firearm incidents on Sunday 15 October, 2023, all of which are currently being investigated.
