Shortly after 10:30PM yesterday, 16 June, officers responded to a report of a serious assault at an address on Patrick’s Avenue, George Town, where a man was wounded. Officers arrested the suspect in the incident, a woman age 34 of George Town, on suspicion of wounding. She remains in custody as investigations continue.
Shortly after 1:30AM today, 7 June, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a firearms incident outside a bar on Seymour Drive, George Town, where it was reported that two men were shot by another unknown male.
Shortly after 2:00AM today, 5 June, officers responded to a report of a firearm incident in the parking lot of Trafalgar Place, on West Bay Road, where one man was struck in the head with an object and injured, and another man was shot and injured.
Shortly before 7:40PM on Wednesday, 2 June, officers responded to a report of an altercation at a service station on Eastern Avenue where a man was approached by another man known to him, who brandished a machete. A struggle ensued and the first man was struck in the face with the machete and wounded.
Just before 5:20PM on Monday, 31 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report that an altercation had developed between two men outside of a liquor store in the vicinity of Powell Smith Road, West Bay, which resulted in one man receiving stab wounds and the other being struck by a glass bottle.
At about 7:45AM on Saturday, 22 May, officers responded to a report of an indecent exposure on the beach in the vicinity of Sundowner Close, off West Bay Road. It was reported that a woman had been at the location when a man unknown to her exposed himself to her.
On Sunday, 16 May, officers received a report of a burglary at an address off Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay, where personal items were taken. Following inquiries, later that day officers located and arrested a woman, age 53 of West Bay, on suspicion of the burglary. The officers were also able to recover the property.
On Monday, 10 May, officers received a report of a robbery which had taken place at about 3:00AM the same morning on Martin Drive in George Town.
Today, 12 May, the RCIPS released its 2020 Crime and Traffic Statistics, and the Senior Command Team held a press conference to discuss the main developments and trends described in the statistics with the media.
