As a precautionary measure, the RCIPS will now be requiring members of the public who will be attending our police stations and public facing offices to wear masks when entering and while inside our facilities.
Police are investigating two commercial burglaries which occurred at business on West Bay Road on Thursday morning, 27 August, and have released a CCTV image of the suspects. Both burglaries appear to have been committed by the same persons.
The West Bay Police Station has now returned to 242 West Church Street and is operating as normal.
Just after 8:25PM on Saturday 14 August, police responded to a report on West Bay Road in the vicinity of Safehaven Drive. It was reported that a woman, while walking in the direction of West Bay, was approached by two men in a white utility type vehicle.
On Sunday 1 August, at around 10.45am a report was received by the 911 Centre of something falling from the sky out over the horizon in line of sight from the Westin Hotel and dark smoke being seen right after, it was suggested by the caller that it might have been a small plane.
Shortly before 9:30PM Wednesday, 28 July, officers responded to a report of an incident at an address off Spotts Newlands Road in George Town. As a result a man age 28 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass and multiple counts of indecent exposure. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Shortly after 9:15PM on Friday, 23 July, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at an address on Palm Dale Avenue in George Town, involving two masked men. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
Shortly after 1:15AM on Friday, 23 July, officers responded to a report of an aggravated burglary at an address on Coemer Drive in George Town.
On Friday, 9 July, shortly after 2:30PM, officers conducted a proactive operation in the vicinity of Mahogany Way in Prospect. A vehicle was stopped and a man, age 35 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to the aggravated burglary and shooting on Adonis Drive in West Bay, on 26 June.
