For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. A serious assault took place on Hell Road in West Bay, yesterday, 18 November. It was reported that a man was attacked by another man using a machete while he was at the gas station located on Hell Road.
Shortly before 1:40AM today, 4 November, officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery which had taken place at the Seven Mile Public Beach.
Wanted man Charles Leonard Walton III, has now been arrested by the police after surrendering to the CDC.
Earlier this morning, 25 October, officers received a report of an indecent assault which had taken place on Eastern Avenue at about 4:30AM. The matter is under investigation.
A man, age 41 of George Town, who was arrested on 18 October, has now been formally charged with Attempted Burglary and Going Equipped to Steal. The charges relate to an incident on Wednesday, 29 September, where an attempt was made to gain entry to a business in the West Shore Centre on West Bay Road.
Shortly before 4:40PM on Friday, 8 October, officers responded to a report of a wounding at a business plaza on Bodden Town Road, east of Lake Destiny Drive. It was reported that at least two men were involved in an altercation which became physical, and one of the men stabbed another multiple times.
Since early July, there has been an increase in reports of thefts from construction sites and from vehicles involved in construction, and maintenance work. As such, the RCIPS is advising persons involved in these businesses of precautions they can take against such thefts.
On Sunday, 3 October, 2021 the RCIPS participated in the funeral service of the late Rev. Dr. Linda Darnell McField, who passed away on Monday, 20 September, 2021.
New Regulations recently released by the Government in response to COVID-19 community transmission cases, impact the way the public can congregate including; public gatherings and socialising in bars and restaurants.
Just before 3:40PM yesterday, 14 September, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a robbery that took place at a business located on Eastern Avenue.
