Police Investigate Serious Assault in West Bay, 7 July

At about 2:40AM today, 7 July, police received a report of an aggravated burglary and assault which had taken place at an address off Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay. It was reported that a man had broken into a residence while carrying a machete, attacked one of the occupants with the machete and then fled the scene.

A 25-year-old man of George Town was re-arrested on 17th June in relation to an incident that originally took place on 27 May where the man was arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja, causing fear or provocation of violence and other related offences.

Shortly after 6:00PM yesterday, 7 June, officers responded to a report of a wounding in the vicinity of Albert Panton Street in George Town. It was reported that two women and a man became involved in an altercation, during which one of the woman stabbed the man then left the location shortly afterward.

UPDATE: Men Formally Charged in Relation to Burglaries and Trespass Incidents, 2 May

Three men who were arrested late last week in relation to burglary and criminal trespass have now been formally charged. Two of the men are also the subjects of several additional matters which remain under investigation. All three men appear in court today, 2 May.
