Woman Charged and Man Arrested for Obstructing the Course of Justice, 18 October

18th October, 2022

A woman, age 39 of George Town, has been formally charged with two counts of Obstructing the Course of Justice and one count of Conspiracy to Obstruct the Course of Justice, for the incidents, which took place on 8 and 9 October. A man, age 57 of Bodden Town, has also been arrested in relation to the same incident.

Police Renew Appeal for Witnesses in West Bay Shooting Incident, 7 October

Police continue to appeal for persons who may have witnessed the shooting incident which occurred just before 12:15AM on Saturday, 29 September, in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay. It was reported that several shots were fired at an address in the area and one man received a gunshot wound to the leg and a dog was killed.

UPDATE: Man Charged with Possession of Bullet-Proof Vest, 22 September

A man, age 51 of West Bay, who was arrested on 1 July following a search where a bullet-proof vest was recovered, has now been formally charged with Possession of a Bullet-Proof Vest. He is appearing in court on Monday, 26 September.

Police Investigate Armed Robbery In West Bay, 6 September

6th September, 2022

At about 8:30PM last night, 5 September, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Finch Drive, in West Bay. It was reported that a man entered the store, brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the worker there. He then left the location on foot with a quantity of cash.

Man Charged after Cocaine Recovered During Search, 22 August

22nd August, 2022

On the afternoon of Tuesday, 16 August, officers conducted a search of an address in the North Sound Estates area of Bodden Town and recovered several packages of suspected cocaine, along with suspected ganja, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of cash. Two men were arrested, one has since been charged.

UPDATE: Police Recover Firearm Stolen in Burglary, 11 August

11th August, 2022

Officers have recovered a Remington shotgun and three cartridge cases which have since been confirmed as stolen during a burglary in North Side last month. No arrests have been made, however enquiries continue to identify the person(s) involved.
