A woman, age 39 of George Town, has been formally charged with two counts of Obstructing the Course of Justice and one count of Conspiracy to Obstruct the Course of Justice, for the incidents, which took place on 8 and 9 October. A man, age 57 of Bodden Town, has also been arrested in relation to the same incident.
In recent days, the Cayman Islands Government’s Cyber Security Office and the RCIPS Digital Forensics Hub have seen an up-turn in Phishing Emails (often referred to as Scam or Fake Emails) being reported in our local jurisdiction.
Police continue to appeal for persons who may have witnessed the shooting incident which occurred just before 12:15AM on Saturday, 29 September, in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay. It was reported that several shots were fired at an address in the area and one man received a gunshot wound to the leg and a dog was killed.
A man, age 51 of West Bay, who was arrested on 1 July following a search where a bullet-proof vest was recovered, has now been formally charged with Possession of a Bullet-Proof Vest. He is appearing in court on Monday, 26 September.
A contingent of six RCIPS officers have travelled to London for the funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, today, 19 September.
At about 8:30PM last night, 5 September, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Finch Drive, in West Bay. It was reported that a man entered the store, brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the worker there. He then left the location on foot with a quantity of cash.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, 16 August, officers conducted a search of an address in the North Sound Estates area of Bodden Town and recovered several packages of suspected cocaine, along with suspected ganja, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of cash. Two men were arrested, one has since been charged.
A 45-year-old-man of George Town has been formally charged with Burglary following his arrest for the offense on Monday 16 August.
A 33-year-old-man of North Side has been formally charged by the police for the offense of Burglary following his arrest on Monday 15 August for an incident that took place on 23 July.
Officers have recovered a Remington shotgun and three cartridge cases which have since been confirmed as stolen during a burglary in North Side last month. No arrests have been made, however enquiries continue to identify the person(s) involved.
