The RCIPS has chosen the upcoming Easter holiday period to kick off the first of what will be a number of targeted road safety campaigns over the course of the year.
Shortly before 6:40PM on Monday, 4 March, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Sea View Road, involving a red Kia Sorento and a grey Nissan Frontier. The occupants of both vehicles were transported to hospital to be treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly before 8:20 PM on Friday, 16 February, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Rex Crighton Boulevard, east of Norfolk Drive. Following the collision, a 25-year-old man from George Town, was arresteon suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without a license, and driving without insurance.
The RCIPS is advising the public to anticipate traffic delays while travelling in the Lower Valley area on Wednesday 14 February, during the annual Agriculture Show which begins at 7:00AM.
Yesterday, Tuesday 30 January, at around 2:45PM, various police units conducted an operation targeting known drug areas in West Bay.
Following the RCIPS Holiday Safety Campaign, Operation Winter Guardian, officers in the Eastern Districts and in Cayman Brac conducted enhanced traffic enforcement operations over this past long holiday weekend, 19 – 23 January.
Traffic diversions are now in place in Central George Town to facilitate road works as part of the Cayman Islands Government, George Town Revitilisation Central Business Enhancement Project Phase II.
