At about 8:30PM last night, 21 March, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a food truck on Crewe Road. It was reported that a masked man wearing dark clothes and riding a bicycle approached the business, brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the staff. He then fled the location on the bicycle.
Tonight, Friday 18th March, detectives along with uniform officers, will be attending the Strand Complex on West Bay Road in search of witnesses to the shooting incident that took place last Saturday morning, 12 March, just after 3AM.
Just after 2AM, on Sunday 6 March, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a collision that took place at the traffic light located at Shedden Road and North Sound Road.
The man, age 26 of George Town, who was arrested on Monday, 3 January, in relation to an attack on a female jogger on South Sound Road which took place earlier the same morning, was formally charged yesterday with Assault ABH in relation to the incident.
Just after 9:45PM on Sunday 23 January, police and other emergency service responded to a report of a wounding incident that took place on Mary Street, George Town.
Shortly before 5:30PM on Tuesday, 4 January, officers responded to a report of an assault incident at an address on Shedden Road, George Town. It was reported that two men were at the location when an altercation developed between them and one of the men struck the other with a beer bottle, causing multiple wounds to his arm.
Karen Vanessa Osegura and her daughter, who were reported missing yesterday, Thursday, 30 December, have been located and both appear to be in good health. The RCIPS thanks the public for their assistance in this matter.
Shortly after midnight this morning, 28 December, police responded to a report of a male in possession of a firearm in the vicinity of 211 Shedden Road.
The 23 Police Constable trainees of the current RCIPS Recruit Class, who were officially sworn-in on 22 November, are joining the wider police service this holiday season, in order to increase police visibility, boost resources for operation Winter Guardian and provide invaluable experience to the members of the class.
