Recently the RCIPS has received a number of reports of vehicle registration plates being stolen. In at least one instance, stolen registration plates have been placed on other vehicles which have then been used during the commission of other offenses.
The RCIPS is informing the public of the following road closure taking place on Sunday, 6 November, in order to facilitate the Cayman Islands Triathlon. A section of West Bay Road, between the Watermark Cayman and the Seven Mile Public Beach parking lot entrance, will be closed between 7:00AM and 11:00AM.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal single-vehicle collision which occurred on Friday morning, 21 October, on the Queens Highway in East End, involving a silver Honda Fit.

Shortly before 2:00AM today, 4 October, officers responded to a serious single-vehicle collision on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Impulse Close, involving a red Honda Integra. The lone occupant was extracted from the vehicle and transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
This evening, 30 September, the NRA was able to conduct repairs on the control unit for the traffic lights at the Bobby Thompson Way and Smith Road junction. As such, the lights are now currently operational, however, it is possible that the repair will only function temporarily.
Due to wave activity and debris on the roadway, Seafarers Way, between Goring Avenue and Elmslie Memorial Church has been closed, with vehicles being diverted through Goring Avenue at this time. The roadway is also closed between Mary Street and Lobster Pot on North Church Street.
A contingent of six RCIPS officers have travelled to London for the funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, today, 19 September.
