While attempting to arrest a man wanted in relation to a violent crime, officers were obstructed and assaulted by a member of the public. Both parties were arrested and have been formally charged.
Shortly after 4:20AM on Friday, 15 August, officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Shamrock Road and Hirst Road. The vehicles were recovered by police for processing, and it was later ascertained that both vehicles had been stolen.
A charging decision has been made in relation to the assault incident which took place on Rex Crighton Boulevard on 19 February, 2025, involving a 17-year-old male and a man age 72. The 17-year-old is being charged with Inconsiderate Driving, while the 72-year-old man is being charged with Common Assault.
