The RCIPS has noted an increase in the number of stolen vehicle reports since the beginning of June 2026 with 8 reports received over the course of the week ending 19 June. The majority of the incidents have occurred in George Town and Bodden Town, with West Bay affected as well.

Just before 6:00am, Saturday, 9 May, police officers responded to a report of an abandoned boat on the reef, off Austin Connolly Drive in East End.
On Sunday, 3 May, police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bodden Town Road involving a marked police vehicle.

The man, age 34, residing in Bodden Town, who was arrested in relation to the fatal collision on 21 April, 2025, on Bodden Town Road, has been formally charged with Causing Death by Dangerous Driving, Driving a Vehicle While under the Influence of Alcohol thereby Causing Death, and Dangerous Driving.
Around 8:00pm, Monday, 2 February, police responded to report of a robbery at a convenience store on Hirst Road. It was reported that two men entered the store and one of the men brandished a knife. The men stole a quantity of cash and fled on foot toward the rear of the building.
On Sunday, 25 January, RCIPS Service Delivery Officers in the Eastern Districts, supported by the Firearm Response Unit, collaborated with the Cayman Islands Customs & Border Control (CBC) for a coordinated Day of Action aimed at disrupting criminal activity and enhancing public safety within the community.
Shanae Jannet Carter, who was reported missing on Thursday, 22 January, has been located.
