Just before 8:30AM today, 17 November, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Shamrock Road involving a motorcycle and a car.
Traffic Officers are currently on scene of a single vehicle collision that took place on Old Crewe Road. The vehicle involved collided with light pole causing it to fall into the roadway. Old Crewe Road between Sunrise Boulevard and South Sound Road is currently closed.
Over the weekend, the RCIPS continued their efforts with Operation Quaker, which focuses on excessive speed and drunk driving on the roadways. The operation aims to reduce the occurrence of serious and fatal collisions on the roadways.
Shortly after 1.15am this morning, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 911 Communication’s Centre to a report of a single vehicle collision on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Tuckerman Lane, Bodden Town.
On Friday 22 October, the RCIPS resumed Operation Quaker, with a focus on night time speeding and DUI, in response to a recent increase of serious collisions and fatalities occurring on the roads.
Just before 11PM on Saturday, 23 October, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision that took place along Old Robin Road in North Side. The collision appeared to have involved a single motorcycle that collided in the bushes off the roadway.
Beginning this Friday, 22 October, the RCIPS will be shifting the focus of its ongoing traffic enforcement operations, under the name Operation Quaker, and targeting night time speeding and drunk driving especially where serious traffic incidents have been occurring.
Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday evening, 16 October, on South Church Street, George Town. He is 37-year-old Carlos Luyang Patricio of the Philippines, who resided in Cayman.
At about 11:20PM yesterday, 14 October, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries at a residence on Elizabeth Street in West Bay. It was reported that a Honda CR-V which had been at the location, had collided with two men who were seated outside the residence.
