For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. Shortly after 9:30PM on Saturday, 13 February, officers responded to a traffic collision on Shedden Road, west of Vibert Bodden Drive, involving a white Toyota Aristo and a grey Volkswagen Golf.
Shortly after 8:30 PM on Friday, 12 February, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Watercourse Road and Hell Road in West Bay, involving a police service vehicle and a gold Honda Accord.
The RCIPS is aware that there may be increased activities over the weekend, particularly this coming Sunday, and as such, we are reminding the drivers to practice safe driving habits while enjoying the festivities.
Just before 12:00PM on Friday, 5 February, an RCIPS service vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle collision with a Chevrolet Aveo at the roundabout at Anthony Drive and Smith Road. Both vehicles received minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
On Friday, 29 January, the RCIPS hosted a group of young Caymanians to provide an overview of the various career options within the Service followed by a tour.
Just after 1PM today, 4 February, police officers on mobile patrol on Godfrey Nixon Way in George Town observed a stolen vehicle exiting a gas station in the area. The unit attempted to stop the vehicle, however were unable to do so.
Just before 12:50PM today 3 February, 2 RCIPS service vehicles were travelling along West Bay Road in the vicinity of the Four-Way-Stop in West Bay, responding to a report when a collision occurred involving both units and a third private vehicle.
Just before 8:15PM on Sunday 24 January, officers were carrying out patrols in the area of Yacht Drive roundabout when they observed a white Chevy Equinox travelling south in the north bound lane at a high speed towards oncoming traffic.
Shortly before 7:00PM on Saturday, 30 January, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Whistling Way. The rider of the motorcycle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for serious injuries, and remains in hospital.
The Cayman Islands Government, in conjunction with The Honourable Alden McLaughlin, MBE, JP, MP, Premier and The Honourable Dwayne Seymour, JP, MP, Minister for Culture will be hosting National Heroes Day Celebrations in central George Town, on Monday, 25 January 2021 (Public Holiday) starting at 9:00AM.
