Four Persons Charged Following Joint Investigation Into Importation of Firearms and Drugs, 18 October

Following a joint investigation conducted by the RCIPS and the Anti-Corruption Commission, two men, ages 32 and 43 of George Town, and a woman, age 33 of George Town, have been formally charged with several offenses related to importing firearms and drugs.

Men Charged Following Drug Interdiction at Sea, 23 September

At about 1:50PM on Friday, 20 September, The Cayman Islands Coast Guard and the Jamaica Defense Force Coast Guard were conducting joint maritime operations in international waters when a suspicious vessel was intercepted, travelling towards Grand Cayman carrying four men and multiple packages of suspected drugs.

Three Men Arrested In Response to “Gang” Video, 18 September

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent and being a member of a criminal gang in relation to a video released online in late August, showing three men speaking to an interviewer about their participation in gang activity, while displaying firearms.

Two More Firearms & Ammunition Handed in Over Weekend, 30 July

As the RCIPS continues in its efforts to encourage persons to relinquish their unlicensed firearms, two more firearms were handed in this past weekend. A pistol and a rifle along with an amount of ammunition were handed into police via a trusted third party, as part of the 2024 RCIPS Gun Amnesty campaign.

RCIPS Launches National Gun Amnesty for the Month of July, 25 June

The RCIPS is launching a National Gun Amnesty, working with key partners and stakeholders who are taking a stand against illegal guns in our community. The Amnesty will run between 1 and 31 July, 2024, and will allow persons who possess illegal guns, ammunition and any other illegal weapons, to hand them over to the police.
