As a precautionary measure, the RCIPS will now be requiring members of the public who will be attending our police stations and public facing offices to wear masks when entering and while inside our facilities.
The RCIPS is reminding the public that the West Bay Police Station (WBPS) continues to operate out of its temporary location at Governors Square off West Bay Road while repairs are being conducted in the West Church Street facility.
Shortly after 12.30am, Sunday 12 September, police responded to a report of a wounding incident at The Strand on West Bay Road. On arriving at the location a 25 year old male from South Sound appeared to have multiple stab wounds.
Today, 10 September, officers from the West Bay Police Station along with supporting RCIPS Units carried out a search at a residence in the district, resulting in the arrest of a 23 year old male and a 20 year old female both of West Bay, for possession of ganja with the intent to supply and other related offences.
The public is being advised that on Friday 3 September, the West Bay Police Station will be temporarily relocated to the RCIPS Training and Development Unit, located at Governor's Square off West Bay Road.
The West Bay Police Station has now returned to 242 West Church Street and is operating as normal.
Three persons were arrested on suspicion of several public order offenses on Tuesday, 24 August, following an incident at the West Bay Police Station.

Whilst on patrol officers from the West Bay Police Station had cause to arrest the man in relation to the traffic driving offenses. A search of his person was then carried out and lead to the recovery of what appears to be ganja and cocaine.
