The man, age 37 of West Bay, who was arrested in relation to a wounding incident at the West Bay Public Beach on 16 February, has since been formally charged with Wounding or Causing Grievous Bodily Harm. He appeared in court on Tuesday, 18 February, and was remanded in custody pending a further appearance on 7 March.
Shortly after 6:40PM on Saturday, 15 February, officers responded to a report of an assault incident at a bar on Watering Place Road in Cayman Brac. It was reported that three men at the location had been involved in an altercation, during which one man was struck with a machete.
Shortly after 11:00PM yesterday, 15 February, officers responded to a report of an aggravated burglary at an address on Powery Road, West Bay.
Police are seeking information from the public to assist in locating wanted man, Ivan McField, 23 years-old, of George Town.
At about 5:00PM on Monday, 10 February, officers responded to a report of a man found unresponsive at a residence on Greenwood Drive in George Town. EMS attended the location and the man was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
Shortly before 2:50PM on Tuesday, 11 February, the 9-1-1 Communications Service received a report of a person in distress on a marine vessel which was on route to the shore at the South Terminal in George Town.
On Wednesday 5 February 2025, a man aged, 35 of West Bay, was charged in relation to matters pertaining to his earlier arrest on 14 August 2024 for Possession of a Controlled Drug.
Police are investigating a robbery incident involving a food delivery driver. Detectives are encouraging the public to exercise caution when doing such jobs.
