Police Investigating Commercial Burglaries in George Town, 30 March

Just after 6:10AM today, 30 March, police responded to West Bay Road, where it was report that two businesses located in the same plaza were burgled. Both businesses received structural damage and at a quantity of cash was stolen from one of the affected businesses.

Just after 7:20 AM yesterday, 20 March, police had cause to make checks in the South Church Street area of George Town. During these area checks, officers found a number of black garbage bags containing a significant quantity of ganja.

Two Charged in Relation to 2020 Governor’s Square Robbery, 15 March

Following a detailed investigation, the RCIPS can confirm that two persons, a man age 25 of East End and a woman age 36 of George Town, have both been charged with Robbery in relation to the robbery at the Tortuga Liquor store in Governor’s Square on 7 February, 2020. The male has been further charged with Assault ABH.

On Friday morning, 12 February, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a medical facility on Smith Road in the vicinity of Pines Drive, and another report of a burglary at a medical facility on Earth Close, off West Bay Road, both of which occurred sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Investigation Into Social Media Video Closed, 20 January

20th January, 2021

On January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video which had been posted on social media. Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with the wishes of the complainant. The matter is now closed.

Holiday Safety Operation Results, 8 January
