Two men have been arrested and formally charged with Breach of Curfew, Dangerous Driving, and other traffic offenses, following an incident on Saturday, 4 April, where they were riding dangerously on motorbikes in breach of curfew.
The Cayman Islands Government has produced a guide to the Soft Curfew restrictions currently in place.
CAYMAN ISLANDS (GIS) – The Cayman Islands Government will implement a curfew for all three Islands from 7pm tonight (Wednesday, 25 March 2020) until 5am, Saturday, 28 March.
Just after 1AM today, 25 March, police responded to a report that a banking machine located at the East End Post Office had been vandalized. Officers attended the location and carried out investigations at the scene. The extent of the damage was recorded by the officers.
At about 12:50AM today, 21 March, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an assault on Seymour Road in George Town where a man was assaulted by several other men.
On Tuesday, 25 February, police carried out a co-ordinated “Day of Action” operation across Grand Cayman. The purpose of this operation was to maintain public confidence, increase visibility of officers, target illegal activities and areas frequented by anti-social behaviour, and prosecute law breakers.
As a result of traffic congestion and other safety concerns raised by members of the public, police will be closing Anton Bodden Dr between 5:30AM and 7:30AM.
The RCIPS is advising the public to anticipate traffic delays while travelling in the Lower Valley area tomorrow, 26 February, during the annual Agriculture Show which begins at 7:30AM. Motorists are advised to budget extra time for travel in the area, especially during the morning hours.
Just after 8PM on Saturday 22 February, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Market Street, where it was reported that a juvenile male received a stab wound to the leg following an altercation.
