Police Investigate Shooting in George Town, 23 December

23rd December, 2023

Shortly before 1:50AM today, 23 December, officers responded to a report of a shooting incident outside a bar on Printers Way in George Town. Officers attended the location and recovered a number of spent shell casings. It was also reported that one man had attended the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

On Thursday morning, 21 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery which had occurred at about 4:50AM on Sea View Road, East End. It was reported that two men in a small vehicle stole a quantity of cash from a man who had been riding a bicycle in the area.

Police Investigate Report of Shots Fired in George Town, One Man Injured, 20 December

20th December, 2023

At about 12:10AM today, 20 December, officers from the Firearms Response Unit were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report that shots had been fired in the vicinity of Grescott Lane in George Town. Shortly afterwards a report was received that a man had attended the Cayman Islands Hospital with a gunshot wound.

UPDATE: Deceased Man Identified, 9 December

9th December, 2023

Police can now confirm that the man whose remains were recovered in the mangrove area of East End on Thursday, 30 November, has been identified. He is Adrian Williamson, a Jamaican national residing in Cayman, who was reported missing on 6 July, 2022, and was 26-years-old at the time of the report.

Police Investigate Report of Shots Fired in George Town, 8 December

This afternoon, 8 December, officers responded to a report that shots had been fired at an address off Anthony Drive, George Town, early this morning. Police attended the scene and conducted checks and have recovered several spent shell casings. An investigation into the matter has been opened.
