The RCIPS is reminding the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without due care and attention after already twenty-three motor vehicle collisions this week so far, between Sunday 16 June and Thursday 20 June. A woman was arrested in Cayman Brac after she assaulted officers who had responded to a report of a theft of her bag, for making threats to kill, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting police.

Just after 1:30AM today, Monday 3 June, police had cause to speak with and search three (3) men and the vehicle they were travelling in at a parking lot off Shedden Road, George Town. The men were observed behaving suspiciously and when the officers approached them, they smelt a strong scent of ganja coming from their direction.

On Friday, 24 May, a man in Cayman Brac was arrested on suspicion of illegal gaming and possession of criminal property, while another was warned for intended prosecution for illegal gaming. Several receipt books, other gambling paraphernalia, and a large sum of cash were also recovered following searches of the man's property.
On Wednesday, 29 May, following an operation conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Law at a location in the vicinity of Songbird Meadows, Cayman Brac, 47 mature ganja plants were recovered. As a result, a man, age 60 of Cayman Brac, was later arrested on suspicion of cultivating ganja.
Just before 4PM on Friday, 24 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to South Church Street, where it was reported that a man was unresponsive after having experienced difficulties in the water.
