A portion of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, between the Yacht Club Roundabout and the Batabano Roundabout (just south of Batabano Road), in West Bay, will be closed on Saturday, 23 January, between 3:30PM and 6:15PM. Shortly before 5:45PM on Wednesday, January 20, officers responded to a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Frank Sound Road and Bodden Town Road, where a black Ford Edge had collided with a utility pole, entered the waters near the Frank Sound Boat Ramp, and overturned.
Over the course of this week, beginning Monday, 18 January, RCIPS uniform and traffic officers have been conducting traffic operations in Bodden Town, East End and North Side, in response to community concerns about speeding and unsafe driving practices in the Eastern Districts.
Shortly after 4:20AM on Saturday, 16 January, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on South Sound Road, in the vicinity of Anne Bonny Crescent, where a black Honda Fit had collided with a tree and a utility pole.
A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a single-vehicle collision on Condor Road, Bodden Town on Sunday evening, 18 January, where the car involved caught fire as a result of the collision.
The RCIPS and members of the Special Constabulary carried out Operation Winter Guardian during the month of December up to and including the New Year’s holidays, which involved enhanced policing to ensure public safety during the increased activities involving the day and nighttime economies.

Shortly after 6:00PM yesterday, 16 December, officers responded to a report of a collision involving a white Toyota HiAce and a pedestrian on West Bay Road, in the vicinity of Ernest Jackson Drive. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Today, 4 December, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is delighted to announce that it has received a donation of 22 AED (Automated External Defibrillators) battery packs and 20 CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Kits from the Cayman Heart Fund.
