For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. On Saturday, 26 November, wanted man Mitchum Wood was located and arrested by police officers, during an operation in North Side. He has since been charged in relation to a burglary earlier that day. Another man, age 21 of North Side, was also arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A man, age 38 of George Town, was formally charged on 16 November with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm. The charge stems from a video that was posted on social media earlier this year, where the man was seen holding a shotgun. Investigations determined that the man is not a licensed firearms holder.
On Sunday, 20 November, a second man, age 53 of Bodden Town, was arrested on suspicion of Murder in relation to the fatal stabbing of George Ian Duffell, which occurred in West Bay on 14 October.
Shortly after 10:00PM yesterday, 18 November, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery at a restaurant on North Church Street.
Wanted man Luisto Hernandez, age 27, was located at a Bodden Town address by the police on Monday 14 November. Hernandez has since been formally charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm. He appeared before the court today, Thursday 17 November.
On Monday, 14 November, at 11.30pm officers received a report of a robbery that had occurred earlier that evening, at about 8:40PM, outside an address on North Side Road. It was reported that two men had been seated outside the location when they were approached by three masked men who brandished firearms and demanded cash.
Police were dispatched to two reports of armed robberies and one attempted robbery in George Town. All three incidents are being investigated by the RCIPS and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
A juvenile male was assaulted by three others in the Red Bay area. Two persons arrested so far.
Following the arrest and charge of wanted man Justin Kyle Jackson earlier this year, a second man, age 21 of George Town, has been arrested and charged with Murder and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm in relation to the fatal shooting of Harry Elliott, which occurred on Monday 25 April.
Just after 8:30AM today police were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery that took place at the Latin Taste Restaurant located at the junction of Shedden Road and Mary Street in George Town.
